Photos

A number of photographs of me participating in various conference events are available on the popular photo sharing site Flickr.  Each is available in a variety of sizes and resolutions. You can find them here. Most of these images were taken by other people – if you choose to use one, please ensure you credit it appropriately and seek any necessary permission from the photographer.

If you are unfamiliar with how to download high resolution images from Flickr or simply prefer to receive a file by email, please contact me directly and request the image of your choice.

Technical and AV requirements

I present differently to many speakers and often incorporate live demonstrations and multimedia including audio and video into my presentations.  I always use my own laptop computer. Please note the following requirements:

  • one wireless, clip-on microphone
  • an audio connection for my laptop
  • a PA system suitable for the size of your venue
  • a podium or small table for my laptop
  • laptop projector with DV or VGA and screen suitable to the size of the venue
  • hardwired broadband Internet connectivity (1500Mbps or faster), ideally separate from general conference access

Licensing

You may video or audio record my presentations under the following conditions:

  • you provide me with a master of the recording following the event
  • you make the recording available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license to event attendees and make it available on your web site under the same license
