Like my friend, Tara Hunt, I thought Barry Schwartz’s talk on prac­ti­cal wis­dom at TED 2009 was bril­liant. It was def­i­nitely one of my favorites.

You really should watch it and see for your­self how this man has imag­ined a kinder, bet­ter world for busi­ness where moral for­ti­tude is a key under­pin­ning. I am strongly inclined to think the same way as Barry — that the cri­sis we see in the world of busi­ness today is largely a fac­tor of the world drop­ping the ball on sense and run­ning itself into the ground with inflex­i­ble bureaucracy.
