Social Media Blogs Top 200- NOOP.NL - Jurgen Appelo puts together a ranked list of the Top 200 social media related blogs. Great resource for keeping up with all things in social media. Surprised not to see TechCrunch on the list…

Hello there, I really like your slide deck and your content. I think educators know that they need to change the way they deal with young people but there are problems around, time, cost, resources and a bit of skepticism. Thought I would share this keynote deck on a similar theme.

Of all the speakers these 2 days, I came back to yours. I agree with some, and disagree with bits. But had to watch the youtube on the way youth learns today. I couldn't see the words on the screen in the room. It is powerful and it has changed how I will reach them in future, so well done for the thought provoking material.

I really hope Hannah has a passion for a sport that challenges her on many levels. My sport certainly meets the needs for many kids who are gifted in so many ways, not in just those of technology. Check out my blog videos, and although I am one of the ones that are technically/digitally in the dark ages, really look at what 6 kids, a horse and a coach can achieve. Online gaming cannot teach these kids the skills they need to keep each other safe. This is true collaboration, not virtual. They learn to interact about their feelings and their safety, they learn to jump and fall and take real risks, not virtual ones. Their actions have consequences. As I said your speech was thought provoking, so thanks.
regards, Lyn.

Thank you for a great presentation. I feel the questions were slightly hijacked by the computer game issue.

I wanted to add to the T-shaped and fuzzy idea to say that I completely disengaged from my school education until I got to university in 1997 and started working in seminar groups with collaborative methodology to briefs negotiated with tutors (also using what web & offline technology there was at the time!).

I enjoyed reading this.
I think its of utmost importance for children to live in an uncensored, unfiltered world. The most well adjusted four year old I know is well aware of, and sits in on conversations about many issues that adults usually try to shield children and young adults from at the age of 16!

And good luck to Hannah too! :)
