I love taking photos when I travel, but certainly don’t label myself as a photographer of any great skill - either in technical or compositional terms. So, I have to say it came as a surprise a few weeks ago when the folks at Schmap, the:
… leading publisher of digital travel guides…
asked if they could use the photo below in their latest San Francisco guide.
The photo is of the Hayes Valley Inn, where I stayed during my Office 2.0 trip last September. It’s a B&B style inn right in the heart of the booming Hayes Valley - shops, fine dining, art studios and the like are all nearby and it’s around 20 minutes walk to the heart of Downtown.

Very cool, always nice when you get your work recognised, expected or not. I know exactly where you took that shot from too. I used to live in San Francisco, before moving to Sydney Australia.
