Celebrate the end of 2007 with some books for your brain

Next Wednesday evening, the Canberra and Sydney web communities are both getting together to celebrate the end of yet another very busy year at their respective WebBlast events. For me, it’s been a year of significant change; I went from working for SMS Management and Technology to starting and running my own company.

As a sponsor of WebBlast Canberra ‘07, I’m giving away some books as door prizes. If you’re keen on grabbing yourself a copy of any of them, make sure you turn up. Last year’s inaugural event was heaps of fun, this year should be bigger and better.

Here are the books I’m giving away. They’re all books I own myself and value for the insights, teachings or help they’ve given me.

“Cubicle Commando by Lisa Messenger and Zern Liew”

“The Fifth Discipline: The Art & Practice of The Learning Organization” (Peter M. Senge)

“Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity” (David Allen)

“Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die” (Chip Heath, Dan Heath)

“The Myths of Innovation” (Scott Berkun)

“Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable” (Seth Godin)

“The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference” (Malcolm Gladwell)

“The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century” (Thomas L. Friedman)

Other sponsors are giving away plenty of other schwag, so you should definitely turn up to see if you can win yourself a prize!

Cool – I hope I win one of your books (if I’m allowed to enter the draw?) ;)

Hey, I’d love to win a book … I seem to have had some luck getting gifts from you lately – thx for the E2.0 tix :-) Muchly appreciated.
