Crowdsharing your library

My last post was about books. Specifically, about which books I should give away at WebBlast Canberra 07 in December. I got lots of good ideas and am in the progress of acting on them. So, thanks to everyone that helped.

A couple of days after that, I went along to spend some regular time with my local IA friends at IA Cocktail Hour. Serendipitously, Donna spoke about using LibraryThing to share our collective professional libraries. Andrew has a group set up (he just needs to remember the password) for us to share on and we’re tagging our professional books with iacanberra.

In the interests of sharing, and because I said I would, I can now share my professional library with my industry colleagues and my friends. I’ve embedded some LibraryThing goodness below (it doesn’t appear in a feed, so you’ll need to click through to the post, sorry!). for you, too. It’s a standard LibraryThing widget that’s big enough to show all my professional books. If I can figure out a way to make it more useful (sorted, etc. ) I will.

In the meantime, enjoy! And shoot me an email if there’s anything you’d like to borrow!

I’ve finally signed up to LibraryThings yesterday and am slowly adding my books to the site.
