Here in Oz, the WWF and Sydney Morning Herald are sponsoring Earth Hour this coming Saturday, 31 March. The aim is to reduce greenhouse gas output by shutting off every unused appliance for just one hour. Now sure, an hour isn’t going to make a huge difference in the grand scheme, but as a statement of intent, it says a lot.
