Do nothing

Euan Semple says to do nothing as a way of driving Enterprise 2.0 adoption in your business.  Of course, he’s being facetious.

Doing nothing will get you exactly nothing – your smart people will collaborate in the open garden of the ‘Net rather than inside the ideally lightly walled (more of a decorative hedge, really) garden of your business.  This is something that a large number of businesses still seem not to get.

Frankly, that sort of thinking defeats me.  What would you prefer?  Your smart thinkers collaborating with each other as well as your clients and customers under the banner of <your company here> or on their own, in the wild, grabbing the kudos and recognition solely for themselves.

I know which one I prefer.

Hang on, didn’t I say this before?
