I’d have to go agree with some of the replies on Collision Detection with this one. The population of vampires that could be supported is much higher than 512, because:
1. vampries don’t create new vampires when they feed
2. vampires tend only create new vampries for companionship (creating more vampires for the fun of it generally just makes more chaos and more competition for blood … and they’re all just ego maniacs anyway and who would want to create more immortal ones of those!)
3. vampires can eat/drain things other than humans
