I’ve just signed The ONE Declaration. Despite the fact that this campaign is US-focussed at present, the issue of poverty and AIDS is a matter of critical importance worldwide. There are no excuses for the problem, and it’s solvable. If you want to get involved as a non-US citizen, the Make Poverty History campaign has many local affiliates. In Australia, you can get involved through MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY.
